Click the link below to sign up to receive a free cataract kit and a donation envelope for your glasses after surgery.

2. Correct your cataracts and other vision conditions at the same time

When you have cataract surgery, you and your doctor may be able to choose a replacement lens to help you say goodbye to your glasses and donate them to someone in need.

3. Drop your old glasses into the nearest mailbox

Put the donation envelope in the nearest mailbox; no need to pay for postage.

4. Provide better vision to those in need

All donated glasses will go to the Lions Club, where volunteers will clean, sort, and distribute your glasses to people in need. It’s that easy!

All about Alcon and the Lions Club Recycle for Sight program

Alcon, the global leader in eye care, and the Lions Club have teamed up to make our Goodbye Glasses drive possible.

So how does it work? Lions Club volunteers gather up used glasses and drop them off at the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers (LERCs), where they’re sorted, cleaned, and prepared for donation. The glasses are then given to people in lower-income communities around the world, helping children and adults alike achieve better vision and a better quality of life.
